In this webinar we discuss the particular experience of democratic self-government of migration that has developed in Riace (Calabria), an interesting case study for understanding the evolution of the migration phenomenon in Italy.
Fulvia Teano and Alessandro Tedde, co-editors of this eDossier by Sinistra XXI, will present a multidisciplinary analysis of the case of Riace and the broader context of Italian migration policies following three peculiar aspects of international relevance: the failure to establish a global regulatory mechanism for confronting the phenomenon, the securitarian management of the migration crisis, and the related distorted media narrative.
