Dear readers!
From 11 to 13 November, the IV. International Marxist-Feminist Conference will take place online. Among the keynote speakers and world-renowned feminists are Tithi Bhattacharya, Lorena Cabnal, Ochy Curiel, Christine Delphy, Ana Cecilia Dinerstein, Elsa Dorlin, Silvia Federici, Nancy Fraser, Frigga Haug, and Danièle Kergoat. The keynote speakers will present and debate specific aspects of their works such as the analysis of value, work, social reproduction, racialisation, sexualisation, and the state. In addition, representatives of a variety of feminisms throughout the world will present and discuss their views and theoretical approaches.
Several years ago, Frigga Haug very effectively addressed women from across the globe to find ways to strengthen feminist interventions. As a result of this collective process, Haug presented the Thirteen Theses of Marxism-Feminism which have guided the work related to the Marxist-Feminist Conferences ever since. The full recording of the webinar ‘The Project of a Marxist-Feminist International’ describing this initiative’s development, activities, and working methods is provided in this newsletter as well.
