• Strategic Perspectives of the European Left

  • The existential crisis in which the EU finds itself in the wake of the Corona pandemic reveals its structural flaws. We are at the beginning of an economic crisis, the extent of which nobody can be sure of.The failure of the EU in social and climate policy should not come as a surprise, because the integration of the capitalist states into a union can only take place via markets — markets in which the needs of society as a whole are not relevant.

It is becoming increasingly clear that we need to think the European Union differently. We need alternative models, not only of production, distribution of labour and income, but also of global and European integration. In this research programme we want to create a space in which the different strategic approaches of the various left forces, parties, social movements and trade unions can be presented, compared and discussed.
