Eric Hobsbawm

Eric Hobsbawm (1917–2012) was a British Marxist and internationally highly accepted universal historian with a social- and economic-history focus. He is particularly known for his four-volume work on the European capitalist history of the “long 19th century” and “short 20th century” as well as his reflections on “invented traditions” and his studies on workers.
