• Perspectivas estratégicas de la izquierda europea

  • La crisis existencial en la que la UE se encuentra a raíz de la pandemia de coronavirus revela sus fallas estructurales. Estamos en el comienzo de una crisis económica, de cuya evolución nadie puede estar seguro. El fracaso de la UE en la política social y climática no debería ser una sorpresa, porque la integración de los Estados capitalistas en una unión solo puede tomar lugar a través de mercados: mercados en los que las necesidades de la sociedad en su conjunto no son relevantes.

    Cada vez es más claro que necesitamos pensar la Unión Europea de manera diferente. Necesitamos modelos alternativos, no solo de producción, distribución del trabajo e ingresos, sino también de integración global y europea. A través de este programa de investigación queremos crear un espacio en el que se puedan presentar, comparar y debatir los diferentes enfoques estratégicos de las distintas fuerzas de izquierda, partidos, movimientos sociales y sindicatos.

Left Strategy project in cooperation with Nicos Poulantzas Institute and Rosa Luxemburg Foundation. It deals with the varieties of police organizational models, the relations of police and democracy in times of crisis, and explores possible left responses in the organizing of police.
