Jan Kavan

Jan Kavan was Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic (1998-2002), Deputy Prime Minister (1999-2002), and President of the United Nations General Assembly (2002-3). He is an Honorary Fellow at the London School of Economics and recipient of several human rights awards. He is a member of the Executive Board of the European Leadership Network (ELN) and of the Academic Council of the New Policy Forum (Gorbachev Foundation), and Deputy Chairman of the Council of Presidents of the UN GA.
