  • Authoritarian Responses to New Forms of Protest

  • The right to protest is at the core of democracy. In recent years, authoritarian responses and the criminalisation of social protest have spread around the world. This event will present two reports (funded by The Left) analysing this situation.

    In recent years we have seen how citizens are protesting against the neoliberal policies imposed in the last decades. The response of the authorities has been the repression.

    Two reports (funded by The Left), analysing this situation will be launched at this event:

    We will get the participation of researchers and the testimonies of people directly affected.

    Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
