Γιάννης Μπουρνούς

Yiannis Bournous (*1979) is a Member of the Hellenic Parliament (elected in the Constituency of Lesvos) and currently the Shadow Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for European Affairs, in the Parliamentary Group of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance.

In the current legislature, he is member of the Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs and the Special Standing Committee on European Affairs. He is also representing the Hellenic Parliament at the Conference on the Future of Europe and the Parliamentary Assembly of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).

From 2010 to 2016, he represented SYRIZA at the Executive Board of the Party of the European Left. From 2018 to 2019, he served as the Head of the Strategic Planning Office in the General Secretariat of the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
