• Europe – Stand Up for Peace!

  • The time has come! Once more, the European Left and transform! europe this time together with DIE LINKE invite to the Summer University 2014. We want to debate, ponder current problems, discuss ideas, exchange thoughts and experiences, and of course celebrate and enjoy the summer.

    Every year since 2005 activists, party members, and members of social movements from all over Europe and beyond meet for four days to jointly develop ideas for an alternative Europe.

    Under the headings of Peace, Europe, and Economy we want to focus on the following questions: How do we assess the results of the elections for European Parliament? How do we want to shape Europe, a Europe in crisis? How can we oppose the crisis management of the last and the new EU government? What is our answer to the conflict between EU and Russia? How can we fight back the swing to the right in Europe?

    The big issues will be introduced by experts in plena. We will then further discuss about them in seminars and workshops. Of course, there will be space for informal talks, fun and experiencing nature as well.

    Working languages: German, Englisch, French, Russian

    Registration: To register for the summer university please fill in the registration form EL SU 2014 and send to: elsu2014@die-linke.de

    Transport: The best way to get to Werbellinsee is taking a plane to Berlin (either Tegel or Schönefeld airport). We will arrange bus transfers from three locations: Tegel Airport, Schönefeld Airport, and Berlin main train station (Hauptbahnhof). If you want to travel by yourself you can e.g. take a regional train from main train station (Hauptbahnhof) to Eberswalde and then take a bus.
