About 150 participants from 12 European countries discussed along the title “Revolts in the Periphery?” both the economic and political situation of central and eastern European countries during the current financial crisis.

Am 7. und 8. Juni findet der Alter-Summit der europäischen Bevölkerungen im Velodrom in Athen statt. Eine Allianz von mehr als 150 Organisationen – Gewerkschaften, sozialen Bewegungen, NGOs und politische Akteuren – aus allen Teilen Europas wird der Öffentlichkeit ein Manifest für den Kampf um ein demokratisches und soziales Europa vorlegen.
